Emergency acne quick cures
1 - Honey
As honey is an antimicrobial humectant, meaning it naturally draws moisture from the air around you to moisturize your skin and prevents bacteria from entering the area of irritation, it will help treat minor acne outbreaks.
How to: Dab the spot with raw honey and leave it for 15 minutes. At the end of this time, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
2 - SkinCeuticals' Acne Solutions
Acne is caused by excess sebum production and inefficient desquamation. Typical acne-related lesions include comedones, papules, pustules, and nodes or cysts. While the cause of acne is unknown, hormones and stress are contributing factors.
SkinCeuticals proven skincare solutions prevent the production of excess oil and eliminate pore-clogging dead cell buildup to help heal existing blemishes and minimize future breakouts.
The Skinceuticals Blemish + Age Defense will help you reduce excess sebum production, improve the appearance of blotchiness, blemishes, and uneven skin tone, decongests clogged pores.

3 - Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide
Baking soda has mild antiseptic properties as well as the ability to fight off fungus and bacteria and dry up excess oil.
How to: Mix equal parts baking soda to water to form a thick paste and leave on face or spot for around 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water, pat dry, and moisturize.
Don't think you've found the remedy for YOUR skin yet?
Every skin is different, so you might have to try different remedies as well until you've found what you were looking for. You should ask your aesthetician for an in-depth skin analysis and product & home care recommendations!
IMPORTANT - In order to avoid acne and worsening of it, you
- should not pick on your blemishes
- always stay hydrated
- and moisturize your skin
Make sure to eat a healthy, balanced diet (you are what you eat!).
Wash your pillowcase regularly and avoid too much scrubbing or cleansing with harsh soaps or chemicals, as those can irritate your skin and make the acne worse.
When you are using new skincare products you should also give it time. We often hear guests complaining that after a new mask or cleanser their acne got worse - which can be caused by low-quality skincare, but it might just be the case that everything that "sat under your skin" got finally to the surface to get rid of it (for good!). Give your skin some time to adapt to new skincare products, check the ingredients list or come in for some advise from our aestheticians on products & how to use them!
Make sure to ask our aestheticians for more advise and come in for your customized treatment plan to finally get rid of those pimples.
