Changing season - changing body.
Since the end of September it's now officially Autumn. The change in season will affect our bodies, so we gathered a few tips on how to stay in balance and prepare the body for this new season.
WHAT TO EXPECT. Dryness is one of the most common fall-symptoms. You may experience dry lips, dry skin, itchiness and wrinkles.
WHAT TO DO. To treat the dryness you have to nourish you body from the inside and the outside.
Nourish your body from the inside
It is suggested to eat & drink moistened foods such as tofu, nuts, soy milk, spinach, pear + apples, mushrooms as well as dairy (in small amounts). This will help to promote the production of body fluids. Food that retain well the fluids of the body such as pineapple, pear and white fungus are also recommended in order to keep the fluids in the body and don't dry out. Traditionally during fall, Chinese eat porridge for breakfast and soup for dinner.
...and from the outside:
To counter dry skin and dehydration we recommend very hydrating & balancing skincare products.
