Get your feet sandal-ready
Usually blogposts about pretty feet are published in summer rather than in spring, but apparently those bloggers don't live in California! With temperatures climbing already up to over 75 degrees, it's definitely time to get those winter-feet ready for spring sandals.
We recommend to start your foot care with a scrub, followed by a foot soak and finishing up with a hydrating foot mask.
STRAWBERRY FOOT SCRUB
A homemade strawberry foot scrub will not only make your feet super soft, but lift up the mood with its fresh fruity scent.
To make the strawberry foot scrub by Lipservicebymel, simply combine 8-10 strawberries with 2 Tbsp of Apricot Oil (can be substituted with Olive Oil), and 1 Teaspoon of coarse salt, such as Sea Salt.
Massage into feet, and follow up with a foot soak.

STINKY FEET SCRUB
The stinky feet scrub by Nerdsandnomsense will leave your feet smelling + feeling amazing.
For the scrub, combine 1/3 cup of raw sugar, 2/3 cup of Epson Salts, 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil, 1/2 Tablespoon of dried peppermint and 4 drops of Tea Tree Oil (anti-fungal properties). Now follow the steps above - scrub your feet and follow with a foot soak.
After your feet are all nice and scrubby – don’t wipe the scrub off, just place your feet in the warm detox foot soak or simply in warm water.
Sit and relax for 10-20 minutes. Wipe off any remaining sugar/salt crystals or peppermint particles. Pat your feet dry - and then follow up with a foot mask to give your feet the ultimate soft feel.
Now after the scrub it's time for your
DETOXIFYING FOOT SOAK
To prep your feet for your mask, first soak your feet in a detoxifying and softening bath. Fill a large bowl with warm water, and add the following ingredients to make your own detox foot soak:
1/4 cup epson salt
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup of sea salt
And for the extra relaxing experience add a few drops of lavender essential oil, or to awaken tired feet some drops of eucalyptus oil (you can also mix both together).
Almost there! After scrubbing and soaking your feet they should be already pretty pretty and soft. To bring them into the ultimate foot heaven, give even more: indulge in a hydrating foot mask.
HYDRATING FOOT MASK
Your feet carry you all day long, and we usually don't care enough for them. A simple homemade hydrating mask by Martha Steward will make your feet soft + supple.
Simply mix your regular body moisturiser with a few drops of olive oil, zap it in microwave for 10 seconds. Slather the warm mixture onto clean feet and cover with a plastic wrap, let soak for 20 minutes.
You can also put the mixture on the feet, put warm socks over it and sleep with it - the next day your feet will be softer than soft.
Tip: Next time you get a massage, ask your therapist to pay extra attention to your feet. All our massages are customized so we'll be happy to take extra care of the so-often-forgotten feet that carry you around all day.
And now get your sandals out!
Your feet are definitely spring + summer ready.
